Accounting Manager

We are working with a Multinational Company that is a leader in manufacturing state of the art engines and power generation equipment. The role is an Accounting Manager to handle the overall management and supervision of the accounting department. This includes overseeing a team of accountants, reviewing financial statements, and preparing reports for upper management. 

Responsibilities:

• Daily guidance and lead the team through the complexities of processes, technical accounting matters and extensive supports on all accounting, audits, tax, VAT and all ZATCA and other compliance matters.
• Support the business decisions through financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Develop the company’s financial and accounting policies, workflows and methods after consultations with heads of finance and apply consistent accounting practices.
• Ensures a strong control environment across the key business cycles.
• Auditing internal and external accounts to ensure they comply with the company’s policy regulations and the local laws.
• Understand the supply chain operations and provide support and guidance to the team on the complex areas and accounting.
• Support controller on monthly closing and be able to meet all closing deadlines.
• Manages the implementation of recommended changes to accounting practices.
• Coaches and mentors direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

Qualifications:
To succeed as an Accounting Manager, you should be analytical, detail-oriented, and honest. The ideal Accounting Manager should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of accounting and management principles and financial legislation.

• Preferably with Consulting Background from Big 4 Companies or similar power generation manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Relevant Certification in ACCA, CPA or CIMA
• Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software and MS Office.
