Tiger Private are in search of a live-out facilities and maintenance Manager for a large and historic country estate, located just a short drive outside of Edinburgh.
Together with the wider Estate team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the estate. Your duties will include overseeing the buildings, equipment, infrastructure and utilities are in working order at all times, being safely maintained and serviced as required across the Estate, in line with all procedures and the Planned Maintenance Schedule. The Estate has undergone intricate restoration over the years and is always maintained to a high standard. Throughout the role, you may be asked to assist and supervise specific restoration projects alongside the senior management, wider Estate team and Director.
The principals frequently have UHNW visitors from all over the world staying with them for a mixture of sporting events and parties. It is important the role is carried out with a positive attitude that contributes to a pleasant working environment for all staff and guests, with a constructive and proactive mindset. A keen eye for detail and the ability to be proactive in identifying maintenance or facilities issues will be essential.
This is a hands-on role, with your core hours beginning at 7.30am, Monday to Friday. The position does require an element of flexibility, and you will be required to work some evenings and weekends during Events or earlier hours to carry out maintenance checks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in housekeeping within a private household, 5 star hotel or luxury yachts, with a proven knowledge of high-end cleaning of furniture, fittings and fixtures. You will possess a proactive mindset, understanding the need for continuous maintenance and handling of both small and large projects on a daily basis. Strong organisational and task prioritisation skills are an absolute must to succeed in this role.
As this is a live-out position, only candidates with a valid UK driving licence and a proven right to work in the UK can be considered for this role.
